Ukrainian-born Boris Mikhailov is one of the leading photographers from the former Soviet Union. Mikhailov is known for documenting invisible, poor, marginalized groups of Soviet and post-Soviet society. His images very often depict homeless, drunk people. They are into viewers’ face, making one feel uncomfortable and unease.
Disturbing, provocative, yet beautiful book documenting the wedding of a homeless couple in Ukraine. The book represents an interesting imitation of a wedding album.
